Drawing inspiration from Marazion Marsh as a transition place somewhere between land and water, this collection of paintings, collage and textile pieces explores themes of liminal space, changing seasons and the navigation of thresholds into new ways to be in the world. Marazion Marsh is a bird reserve near Penzance in Cornwall, close to where I live. The work was completed over a period of 18 months following many visits to the marsh at different times of day and through each month of the year. The images and the poems that accompany them are available as an artists book ‘Changing Ground’ which can be purchased from the shop (here).
